Finally blogging about tech

Hello, world and welcome to my blog! Let me introduce myself.

My name is Jacques Uwamungu, a husband, father of 2, software engineer at The Economist and a hobbyist photographer. I am excited to finally start blogging about web technologies. For a very long time, I have been thinking of starting a blog but I always managed to talk myself out of it. This blog will be where I write about the technologies that I am mostly working with or interested in at a particular time.

For the last 7 years, I have been working as a software engineer and I have always had a passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices. One area that I have been particularly interested in recently is Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, AWS and web security among many other things. I have decided to start this blog as a way to document my journey and share my findings with others who may be interested in these topics.

Throughout this blog, I will be sharing tips and tricks, as well as in-depth explanations of the various concepts and technologies that I have learned and used in my projects. I hope that my experiences and insights can help others who are also interested in web technologies or who are simply looking to improve their skills as software engineers.
